Eco-Friendly Composting Initiatives

We believe that sustainability starts at the soil. That's why we have partnered with Food Loops, a renowned local vendor, to implement a groundbreaking composting program. By composting green waste from our floral designs, we not only nourish the earth but also reduce landfill waste. This initiative helps us maintain the natural beauty of Northwest Arkansas while supporting local sustainability efforts.

Cardboard Recycling

Sustainability extends to our packaging as well. At Rose of Sharon, we conscientiously recycle all cardboard materials. This practice significantly cuts down on our carbon footprint and supports a cleaner, greener Northwest Arkansas. By recycling cardboard, we ensure that every aspect of our floral delivery contributes positively to the environment, reflecting our commitment to ecological responsibility.

Vase Reuse Program

Our vase reuse program invites our clients to partake in our sustainability journey. Customers are encouraged to return or reuse their floral vases, reducing waste and promoting a cycle of reuse that complements our sustainable ethos. This initiative not only conserves resources but also offers our clients a way to be actively involved in environmental conservation.

Locally Sourced Flowers

At Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio, we prioritize the use of locally sourced flowers whenever possible. By choosing local blooms, we not only support the vibrant agricultural community of Northwest Arkansas but also reduce the environmental impact associated with long-distance flower transportation. This commitment helps us ensure that our floral arrangements are not only fresh and beautiful but also sustainably sourced. Embracing local flowers not only enhances the economic fabric of our community but also allows us to offer a truly unique and local touch to our creations, celebrating the natural beauty that our region has to offer.

Minimizing Floral Foam Use

We are dedicated to reducing our use of floral foam, a common but non-biodegradable product used in the industry for arranging flowers. At Rose of Sharon, we minimize or completely eliminate the need for floral foam in our event florals. Our designers are skilled in creating stunning arrangements that rely on more sustainable materials, ensuring that our environmental footprint is as delicate as the flowers we arrange.

  • At Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio, we understand the importance of budget management for corporate and fundraiser events. Althea Wiles, our lead designer, utilizes her deep knowledge of local flower farms to select stunning, locally-sourced blooms that not only enhance the beauty of your event but also adhere to your budget constraints. Her ability to creatively substitute traditional flowers with unique, cost-effective alternatives allows us to provide exceptional value and striking floral designs tailored to each client's financial needs.

  • Choosing local flowers for your events supports local agriculture and reduces environmental impact. At Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio, we source flowers directly from local farms whenever we can, which means our arrangements are not only fresher but also have a smaller carbon footprint compared to imported blooms. By opting for local flowers, you're ensuring that your event is not only visually stunning but also environmentally responsible.

  • Local flowers are typically harvested and sold within days, ensuring maximum freshness and longevity. In contrast, imported flowers may be harvested weeks before they reach the florist, compromising their vibrancy and lifespan. By choosing Rose of Sharon, you benefit from the crispness and full vitality of locally-grown flowers, making your floral displays more lively and enduring throughout your event.
