Beautiful White & Green Summer Wedding at Pratt Place
Photography: Kristen Herrington Photography
I know I say this about a lot of wedding trends, but I can genuinely say that a white & green wedding palette is truly classic. It has stood the test of time. In Greek & Roman times, brides wore a crown of orange blossom and myrtle (reference). White blossoms historically symbolize “beauty, fidelity, passion, and immortal, true love.” (reference).
This beautiful June couple decided on the white & green palette in a semi-organic style. For the bride’s bouquet, I used soft white blooms like ranunculus, roses, and scabiosa paired with a variety of foliage—tree fern, eucalyptus, and Italian ruscus.
To decorate the venue, we designed two oversized grapevine wreaths to accent the barn doors at Pratt Place. I love how these turned out and they made a lovely backdrop for some beautiful photos. It’s also this couple’s 2nd anniversary; Happy Anniversary!

One truly special part about our line of work is getting to design for family and friends. This Fall, we had the pleasure of designing for our Assistant Designer Olivia’s sister, Sarah. Charles and Sarah’s wedding was extra special because Charles’ family home served as the venue. To top it all off, Julianne of Most Joyful Day coordinated the event and she actually referred Olivia to work with us 4 years ago. Julianne happens to be one of Olivia’s mom’s friends! As the old adage goes, the rest is history and we were so happy to be a part of this event filled with family and friends.
