Living Coral Wedding at Sassafras Springs Winery

In 2019, Pantone’s color of the year was Living Coral—a “vibrant, yet mellow” shade that brings warmth and joy wherever it goes. I’ve always loved a coral palette for a wedding and I’m so glad the color has been trending recently. For Erica and Phil’s, Fall nuptials at Sassafras Springs Winery, we created a Living Coral Wonderland!

For Erica’s bouquet, we used gorgeous orange Free Spirit Garden Roses, blush stock, peach ranunculus, and coral hypericum berries. The bouquet had so much dimension and texture and was the perfect example of what I call a semi-organic style. For the finishing touch, the groom’s bout featured coral and pink ranunculus blooms. The bridesmaids carried complementary bouquets and the groomsmen wore complementary bouts—everything looked gorgeous with the different coral shades of the maids’ dresses.

For the ceremony, we designed 4 low, lush arrangements to accent the chapel entrance and 4 more to accent the altar. Trailing dollar eucalyptus and Italian Ruscus, were accented with textured mums, fluffy Garden Roses, and sweet blush delphinium.

For the reception, we designed 3 different centerpieces! The rectangular head table was lined with a dramatic eucalyptus garland; roses were artfully arranged along the table with pillar candles. Then, the round tables featured either a low and full arrangement in a gold compote or one of the altar pieces on a harlow stand. We love to design multi-purpose pieces! Finally, the outdoor lounge featured a stunning wreath piece that we designed on-site using greenery, wax flower, carnations, and stock. It looked gorgeous out there with the mid-century modern furniture and complemenary small bud vases.
