Sweet Blush and Cream Wedding at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm

In the past few months, I’ve increasingly been receiving more requests for cascading bouquets. A cascading bouquet is a design containing a mass of flowers that are arranged to trail to a narrow end. The tail can be any length and it can be flowing or structured. After years of hand-tied bouquets, these designs are gaining popularity because of the amount of artistry involved so I was stoked when Alisa wanted a cascading bouquet for her and Harrison’s big day at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm.

For Alisa’s bouquet, we used the most lovely blooms in shades of pink, blush, and white. Garden Roses, spray roses, peonies, carnations, ranunculus, lisianthus brought the vibe she was going for! The bridesmaids carried small round bouquets featuring roses and gypsophila (baby’s breath). For Harrison’s bout, we used a spray roses bloom and accent foliage, with a pink ribbon to tie everything together.

For the ceremony, we designed 2 large arrangements featuring pink roses, eucalyptus, and gypsophila to be placed in the venue’s stone urns. Trailing foliage and small vases filled with blooms decorated the altar while rose petals and candles lined the aisles.

For the reception, the altarpieces were repurposed to accent the fireplace while Alisa’s bouquet adorned the sweetheart table. For the tables, we designed several versions of what we call the “foliage with accents” centerpiece. Italian Ruscus, Dollar Eucalyptus, and loose blooms were intertwined and artfully arranged with various candles and lanterns.
