Sweet Lavender Garden Style Wedding at The Orchard
Photographer: Benjamin Martin
Sometimes a chilly, overcast day in October makes for the most perfect, intimate wedding. Julia & Shane chose to have a small wedding with only their closest friends and family, but they prove the adage that small weddings does not mean small flowers!
Julia was after an organic, wildflower aesthetic featuring her favorite shades of lavender, white, and yellow. For her bouquet, we designed a stunning garden style piece featuring white butterfly ranunculus, lavender asters, and lilac stock. At the church, the ceremony pews were lined with bundles of wildflowers while a gorgeous, lush altarpiece anchored the space.
The Orchard was the setting for the beyond stunning reception! We arranged smilax, a viney foliage up the 50 foot tall windows to create organic DRAMA. The tables featured lush cascading arrangements of wildflowers with ivy tumbling out of the vases.
As a finishing touch, the cake by Briar Rose featured a sweet floral garnish of foliage and blooms. This absolutely magical day was beautifully captured by Benjamin Martin. It was certainly an event to remember! Take a look at the images below!

Last year I designed for an amazing elopment photoshoot at Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm. It featured two amazing grooms, beautiful white blooms and a whole lot of love. Allyship is incredibly important to us at Rose of Sharon so we are truly grateful to all of our queer couples for entrusting us to design for your special day.
Miles and Quincy saw the shoot we did on Instagram and loved the vibe! Next thing you know, we’re designing for their July 2024 wedding at Theatre Squared in Fayetteville.
